Our aim

We aim for the site to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. We have not had an independent audit yet.

What we have done

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link.
  • Text and controls meet the 4.5:1 and 3:1 contrast ratios. Colour is never the only way we show a state: request status also uses words.
  • Forms have visible labels, describe their errors in text, and move focus to the error summary.
  • Photos have text descriptions. Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
  • Nothing moves on its own, and animation is off if your device asks for reduced motion.
  • The layout works at 200 percent zoom and on small screens.

Known gaps

  • The chat assistant is a live region and works with a keyboard, but we have not tested it with every screen reader.
  • The photos are placeholders until we add real ones. Their descriptions will be updated with them.
