Tiling

Floor and wall tiling, regrouting and tile repair. A technician looks at the surface first, so the quote is for your floor or wall and not a guess.

Old grout taken out and replaced where it has gone dark, cracked or fallen out.

Tile repair

Cracked, loose or hollow tiles lifted and replaced.

Typical jobs

  • A bathroom or kitchen that you want retiled.
  • A living room floor with cracked or hollow tiles.
  • A wall that needs new tiles after a repair.
  • Grout that has gone dark or is falling out.

What the inspection checks

  • The size of the floor or wall, and the tiles and layout you have in mind.
  • The surface underneath: whether it is level and dry, and whether old tiles must come off.
  • The edges, corners, doorways and any fixtures in the way.
  • Where the materials can be delivered and kept until the work starts.
  • Access to the place and anything that must be moved first.

After the visit you read an inspection report, then a quote with materials, delivery and labour as one total. You decide after you have seen both.

Questions people ask

All questions

Do I need to choose the tiles before I request an inspection?

No. Say what you have in mind in your request. The report lists what the job needs, and the quote covers the materials.

Can you repair just a few cracked tiles?

Yes. Choose tiling, say it is a repair, and add pictures of the damage and of the whole floor or wall.

What if the old tiles have to come off first?

The technician checks the surface at the inspection, and the report says whether old tiles must be removed.

Start with an inspection.

You see the inspection fee before you pay it, and it is taken off your quote if you go ahead. If you say no, nothing is charged.
